The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced a $1.95 million settlement with Prager Metis, the former auditor of FTX. The settlement resolves allegations of negligence-based fraud and violations of auditor independence rules. Prager Metis will pay a $745,000 civil penalty for the FTX violations and just over $1.2 million for violating auditor rules.
