Offchain Labs, the team behind Arbitrum, discovered security issues in Optimism, another Ethereum layer-2 scaling network. The vulnerabilities were related to Optimism's system for contesting fraudulent transactions, which could have put user funds at risk. Offchain Labs alerted OP Labs and provided example exploit code to demonstrate the potential impact.
