SEC commissioner Mark Uyeda has called for the creation of a special version of the S-1 form for digital assets, stating that the current form does not adequately address the needs of digital assets and other unique financial products. Uyeda believes that the SEC has not done enough to support digital asset products seeking registration in the US. He suggests that the regulator collaborate with crypto companies to determine necessary modifications to the existing form.
